| THE WESTERN SHORE. This name, which applies to all of the western shore of the
Susquehanna river, and which is connected to Harrisburg by two traffic bridges, at Market
and Walnut streets, and also by two beautiful concrete bridges of the Pennsylvania and the
Reading Railways, contains a number of towns, all of which are increasingly becoming
suburbs of Harrisburg. New Cumberland, Camp Hill, Lemoyne, Wormleysburg, Fairview and
Enola, are all directly connected with the development of Harrisburg and Dauphin county,
but they are all in Cumberland county.
