Tax lists can be useful to the genealogist to determine geographic locations of
ancestors during certain time periods. They also help in identifying if your ancestor was
a land owner, which can lead to further information in the land records at the court
house.
If anyone is willing to transcribe tax lists for Dauphin County, I will be glad to post
them here.
