Betsy Ross Flag flies over CapitolHarrisburg, Pa., July 14-- The Harris Ferry Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution supplied a 13-star revolutionary war era U.S. flag to state officials for use over the Capitol for Flag Day Monday. The "Betsy Ross" style flag is a replica of the nation's first flag is loaned annually by the chapter headquartered in the Harrisburg area consisting of nearly 100 male decendents of patriots of the Revolutionary War.Sen. Hal Mowery (R-New Cumberland) served as intermediary with officials from the Department of General Services to arrange the flying of the colors. Rep. Rick Geist (R-Altoona) supplied the photo.
